Hi, I am so glad you are here. You see, I suspect we are both alike. We are both trying to create a life that is full of energy, health, and joy for ourselves and our families.
Which means, neither of us should be eating too much sugar, fast food, or frozen/microwave dinners. But that doesn’t mean we want to come home from work and spend hours in the kitchen, right?
I work with stressed business professionals and moms and dads who are looking to create a life they love, for themselves and their families; a life full of health and vitality. I teach them how to make small achievable changes to their diet and lifestyle that have a profound impact on their health WITHOUT spending hours in the kitchen.
I remind them of what their bodies are really craving (sometimes it's sleep, or nutrition, or reduced stress) while sprinkling in a little wholesome deliciousness.
One of my clients recently said she was amazed that she no longer craved the fast food she practically lived on before our sessions.
I'd like to say that I became a health coach to be a shining beacon of perfect health to lead others to the healthy nirvana I enjoyed, but that would not be true. By the time I decided to study to become a health coach and a nutritionist, each member of my immediate family had been touched by cancer. I was working up to 60-80 hours a week, getting little sleep, eating out of fast food boxes and suffering from devastating migraines. I knew there had to be a better way. I had to find out what was decimating the people I loved the most, and then find a way to reverse it. I wanted to feel better and to bequeath a life of health and success to my children.
You see, I was brought up in a family which served good food, the meat and potatoes kind. My parents served us lots of conventional red meat because they thought it gave us strong blood. We were never allowed to have frozen dinners, although vegetables came in a can. I was a big city girl with no farms within reach. I was confused about all the conflicting news surrounding nutrition. Does this sound familiar?
My philosophy is that we each have unique digestive systems, just as we each have unique fingerprints. There is no one-size-fits-all diet plan that works for everyone. I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
Do you have a health goal you just can't seem to achieve? Maybe it's taking back control of your cravings, maybe it's losing those last 20 (or first 20) pounds, or maybe it's just finding the energy to enjoy life again.

Testimonials
Here’s what one of my clients, a busy professional woman with heavy family commitments said about working with me:
I want to thank you for your great advice which helped me finally shed over 40 pounds. I had been on another diet for three years and lost a whopping 1.2 pounds. Your simple advice finally broke the logjam and enabled me to get down to a healthy weight. My energy is up, my cholesterol and blood pressure down and I can fit into my clothes again! It’s like having a whole new wardrobe!! Simple steps with huge results. Thank you!

And here’s another professional woman, a Mom:
I just wanted to let you know what an impact you have had on me in the past year. When I first met you, I voiced my concern about my high cholesterol. I never thought that the little things you recommended would do anything for me but you were SO RIGHT!!! I have two young daughters and I am their sole provider. After speaking with you last year, I knew I had to make a change, not just for me but also for my girls. We recently had the BMI testing done again and I am beyond thrilled that my cholesterol level is normal!!! Little changes do make a big difference. I can’t thank you enough…I truly owe my great results to you!
Thank you for everything!!!

And here's what some of the attendees of one of my classes have said:
Karen's class was a great experience for me. . . The course covered a world of fantastic beneficial meals.

Information galore! What to eat, why you want to eat it, how it impacts your body and other important information. Food, nutrition, and resources. This class is of paramount importance: ideas and resources that revolutionize your life.
- GS
The great strength of the course was that the information was so helpful. Things that I really was not aware of that I was doing to my body through food. I took the course no knowing what to expect. I am pleased to say that I have learned so much. What I put in my body affects everything; not only physically but emotionally and mentally.

One more happy client, a Dad who had just been diagnosed with pre-diabetes:
I have been attempting to control my weight, blood sugar level, and blood pressure through exercise and better eating habits, and found that I absolutely could not lose that final 10 pounds to reach my goal. Karen made some simple recommendations – which I resisted strongly as being too simple – but when I finally implemented them, I reached my goals very quickly. Thank you, Karen!
